Across The Way Bed & Breakfast at the Fassitt Mansion, located in historic Lancaster County, the heart of Amish Country, invites you to experience the history and elegance of a 19th century Victorian mansion. Once a "Safe-House" on the Underground Railroad, Fassitt Mansion built in 1845 by Captain William Fassitt where he entertained quests and hosted lavish parties.

Located halfway between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Fassitt Mansion was and still is a frequent stop for weary travelers.

The mansion boasts twelve foot ceilings, ornate moldings, elegant trimmings and five spacious guest rooms with private baths.

 "The Carriage House" which is currently in the final stages of restoration is the original 18th century home on the estate. This two story bungalow has it's own kitchen, fireplace and full bath to comfortably accommodate a family of four or provide a wonderful honeymoon retreat.

 Located halfway between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, it was also a frequent stop for weary travelers.

Upon arrival to Across The Way Bead and Breakfast you can expect to relax from your journey. Perhaps enjoy an afternoon snack with a cold or warm beverage while sitting on the porch taking in the views and the clean country air.

We will be more than happy to make any arrangements or reservations for you to have dinner at one of the many local restaurants.

I the morning you can enjoy a full country breakfast , served family style in our dining room. Authentic Amish foods are available!
