Across
The Way Bed & Breakfast at the Fassitt Mansion, located in the heart
of Amish Country, invites you to experience the history and elegance of
a Victorian mansion, once a "Safe-House" on the Underground Railroad.
Built in 1845 by Captain William Fassitt as a way to entertain quests
and throw lavish parties, the mansion boasts twelve foot ceilings,
beautiful decorative moldings and spacious guest rooms with private
baths.
Located halfway between Philadelphia
and Harrisburg, it was also a frequent stop for weary travelers.
A
full country breakfast is served family style at the oversized dining
room table every morning. Authentic Amish foods are available. Upon
your arrival to Across The Way Bed &
Breakfast you can expect to relax and enjoy an afternoon snack, a warm
or cold beverage, rest & relaxation. We will be happy to make any
arrangements or reservations for you to have dinner at a local restaurant.
